• Bomb Squad plays with John Mayer on The Mayercraft Carrier Feb 2008!

  Glenn will be performing with the Bomb Squad on a 4-day cruise from Miami, FL through the Bahamas, alongside John Mayer on the Mayercraft Carrier. The cruise runs February 1-4, 2008. Hurry, reservations are filling up fast!

• Bomb Squad to Debut New Front Person

  The Bomb Squad will debut their new vocalist, American Idol finalist Brenna Gethers, on December 8th at Bill's Bar in Boston! Get your tickets now!

• Glenn to Play with Damian Curtis

  Glenn will be performing with the Damian Curtis Group featuring Christian Scott (Concord Records Artist) at a fundraiser for the Hartford Artist Collective in rememberance of Jackie Maclean.

• Bomb Squad Announce New Front Person

  American Music Award winning funk-rock act Bomb Squad have announced their new front person as Brenna Gethers. The 25 year-old Mount Vernon, NY, resident enjoyed her own national success recently as a finalist on American Idol.

  "My stint on American Idol allowed me to do what I love to do - sing for millions of people," says Gethers. "I'm looking forward to bringing great music to the masses with Bomb Squad."

  Squad founder and guitarist Q states, "It was a no-brainer. She came in and knocked us down in the live setting. Her voice, her attitude toward the music, the vibe - it's all there. It's fresh, while naturally Bomb Squad all the way."

  Gethers will join the group full time after her own tour, in which she will be supporting Ruben Studdard from October 3rd through October 10th. The Bomb Squad plans to write and rehearse during the fall and return with a tour introducing the new lineup prior to the holidays. Hand selected by music icon Dick Clark, Bomb Squad took home the New Music Award at the 31st Annual American Music Awards and performed alongside Outkast, Britney Spears, and Metallica. To date, Bomb Squad has independently released two full length albums and a DVD.

• Damon Grant on the Congahead Website

  The Damon Grant Project has been added to the Conga Head website, thanks to Martin Cohen and his amazing crew at LP. Damon Grant was added to there artist roster earlier this year and was invited to do this live in studio recording/video. The song Descarga Pequeno, which was writen by sax player Mark Small (Michael Buble), will be featured at congahead.com and will be featured on the 2006 holiday cd sampler by LP. • Goodbye Girl Friday Heads to Philly

  Goodbye Girl Friday will play World Café Live in Philadelphia on Friday, August 4 at 7:00PM, playing songs from their latest release Silver or Gold and debuting tunes from their upcoming CD.

  Goodbye Girl Friday is David Sherman, keyboardist, lead vocalist, and songwriter. For the show at World Café’ Live, he will be joined by Dan Grennes on bass, Glenn Robertson on drums, and Chris Tarrow on pedal steel. Currently, Goodbye Girl Friday is finishing up a new CD co-produced by Sherman and Tarrow, engineered by Matt Shane (Rosanne Cash, Shawn Colvin) and mastered by Fred Kevorkian (Ryan Adams, The White Stripes, Dave Matthews Band).

  The performance at World Café Live will be a homecoming of sorts for Sherman, whose father was a late night jazz DJ on WHAT in the late 50’s and early 60’s. Influenced by Philly stars Todd Rundgren and Daryl Hall, among others, Sherman’s songwriting has won praise from many critics, including All Music Guide’s Alex Henderson, who calls Silver or Gold "...a solid effort that shows a strong sense of pop/rock craftsmanship." Performing Songwriter magazine included Goodbye Girl Friday on their Editors Choice Compilation #12, noting that Sherman’s "memorable melodies" were one of his biggest strengths.

• Bomb's in Boston!

  The Bomb Squad is playing the Middle East in Cambridge, MA on June 16th. The night will be the Bomb Squad opening up for George Clinton and the 420 Funk Mob.

• Bombs on the Beach Tour

  The Bomb Squad will be announcing it's Bombs on the Beach tour very soon. This tour will be running down the East Coast throughout August. Keep checking the site for more details.
